Dr. Chris Jackman

Dr. Christopher S. Jackman completed his medical degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland, graduating with the highest average from biochemistry with honours and from medicine amongst the top of his class. He then completed his specialization in ophthalmology with the Ivey Eye Institute at the University of Western Ontario, where he served as Chief Resident. He subsequently completed a Fellowship in Medical Retina at the University of Western Ontario.

Dr. Ghislain Boudreault

Dr. Ghislain-André Boudreault received his medical degree from Université Laval. He spent part of his training as a resident at the prestigious Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts and went on to complete fellowships at George Washington University in Washington, DC, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland and at Purdue University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Boudreault holds the distinction of being the first Canadian to rank first overall for the American Board of Ophthalmology’s oral exam.

Dr. Tyler Parsons

Born and raised in Torbay, Dr. Parsons obtained his BSc from Memorial University of Newfoundland and his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Waterloo in 2018. Throughout his training, Dr. Parsons spent time at different specialized clinics, obtaining experience and skills in multiple eye/vision care areas including ocular health, binocular vision, and contact lenses.

Dr. Parsons works closely with our team of ophthalmologists. A timely referral will be made if an ophthalmology consult is warranted (like cataracts, glaucoma, or any retinal concerns). Additionally, he will have access to a wide variety of essential diagnostic equipment for managing ocular disease.

Dr. Parsons is so happy to be back in Newfoundland. Outside of the clinic, you can find him playing hockey, exercising and spending time with his family and friends.
